Cipher: the Eighth : voice

I would not consider it in these conditions, of course, but it occurs to me that I have seen very little of this place outside the town.

When the weather is more suitable for such a venture, I should like to do a bit of exploring. I am given to understand by the maps available that there is a large lake to the west.

Would anyone be of the mind to go with me? I can only imagine what sort of flora and fauna are there to be found.
