[Stephen Maturin closed his Journal as he made a few last notations in the plain brown journal that had found its way back to him. He wrote in his own particular cipher, a mix of four languages and further coded, detailing what had been said and done and written throughout the day.

Included in his notations on the information passed over the journals were sketches of birds and other animals he had seen. Most of his notes, he could pass off as his naturalist inklings, as studying the flora and fauna around this strange new world.

That was why he'd chosen to sit at the bank of the rivers in town met, all three together. He had been sitting there for several hours, mostly quiet. Every so often, he would play one of the video or audio entries in the Journal, but only when there was no skittish animal he was observing.]
